Zachary Borovay
Zachary Borovay (www.borovay.com) is a projection designer whose recent credits include A Catered Affair (Broadway), Radio City Music Hall's 75th Anniversary Christmas Spectacular, Xanadu (Broadway), I LAND (Culture Project), Nerds (Philadelphia Theatre Co.), 13 (Mark Taper Forum), The Wiz (Stage Entertainment, Holland) and Angels in America: The Opera (Opera Boston). Zak was also involved in the design of Grey Gardens, In My Life and The Good Body (all Broadway), Radiant Baby (Public) and Sinatra (Radio City). He is the author of the column "The Projection Designer's Toolbox" in Live Design Magazine. Zak worked with United Scenic Artists local 829, the union which represents theatrical crafts such as scenic, lighting and costume design, to create an independent category for projection designers. In addition to his membership with USA829, he is a member of the Associated Crafts & Technicians union. Zak is also accomplished musician, having studied jazz bass at both the Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory of Music.
